We come to your business with onsite personalised assistance. Testimonial
The employees who come to your business through STEPS will be job-ready. When training or support is identified as necessary for the worker’s success, the following steps may be taken by skilled and experienced STEPS Employment Consultants.
If time permits, the STEPS Employment Consultant may go to the worksite to perform the job for a day to become acquainted with tasks.
The STEPS Employment Consultant asks the employer to describe the type of training required and how best it can be delivered.
The Employment Consultant will give the client on or off-the-job training to ensure minimum interruption to the workplace.
As the worker develops skills and confidence, the training will decrease to encourage worker independence.
STEPS’ Employment Consultants may assist to familiarise other staff members with disability and workplace issues.
As the worker becomes more confident and independent, support may be drawn back to include occasional visits to the workplace, and communicating with the employer and worker by phone.
If the worker’s duties change and they are required to learn new skills, the STEPS Employment consultants will be available to deliver further training.
